UFO Matrix Magazine

Philip Mantle has posted the following update on UFO Matrix - the sponsors of Weird 10.

I am pleased to announce that the new 100 page full colour newsstand publication UFO MATRIX MAGAZINE will be launched on July 29th 2010. The first issue will go on sale in the UK and can be purchased in all of the usual high street outlets. This new bi-monthly publication will deal with any and all aspects of the UFO subject.


This new publication is edited by Philip Mantle and assistant editor Malcolm Robinson. It has an international line-up of columnists including: Nick Pope (UK), Mike Hallowell (UK), Steve Johnson (UK), Peter Robbins (USA), Scott Corrales (USA), Clas Svahn (Sweden), Lee Paqui (Australia) and Sheryl Gottschall (Australia).

The first issue will see features such as: A Conversation with Kenneth Arnold by the late Bob Pratt and Roswell and the Senator by Don Schmitt. The Isodoro Ferri UFO landing case from Italy also demonstrates the international scope of this publication. We will also have UFO sightings, encounters, news and reviews and Dr David Clarke looks back at this years MoD UFO files in the UK. Some recent UFO photographs from different parts of the world are also featured. In short, if you are interested in the UFO subject then this magazine has something for everyone.

LAPIS 2010 Conference

On the 22nd of May LAPIS are holding their annual UFO Conference.

LAPIS have an established pedigree of conferences going back many years and this year features Alan Murdie, Philip Mantle, Lary Warren and Paul Vella.

The conference is on the 22nd of May at the YMCA, St Albans Road, St Annes, Lancashire, FY8 1XD

Weird Talking : Andy Russell will not be appearing

Due to unforseen circumstances, UFO researcher Andy Russell is unable to conduct the talk tonight (24th April).

We will instead be playing interviews with Steve Dewey and Dr. David Clarke.  Entry will be free!

We hope that Andy will join us later in the year and wish him all the best.

Our next Weird Talking evening is on the 24th of April.  We welcome Andy Russell to Swindon.

Evidence of 'Defence Significance'


Andy will look at the MoD and their Freedom of Information Act releases and show there are items of defence significance that the MoD routinely 'loses'.

Andy Russell has been interested in UFOlogy since an early age prompted through personal experiences. As a clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist he has worked with many abductees to uncover their experiences. Andy appeared on the 2008 series of UFO Hunters featuring his investigations in the Cardiff Police Helicopter/UFO near miss incident. Andy is a self-employed trainer and also has a keen interest in the crop circle phenomena

Merchant Spaces now available

Weird has now confirmed the merchants area for Weird 10 and have a number of spaces available for sellers of UFO and Paranormal related products.  Each merchant area consists of a 6' x 3' table and two chairs which will be supplied.  Free standing banners and other display equipment must be supplied by the vendor.  If more than one table is required, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

All merchants will also be given a pass allowing access to the main conference.

The articles page has been updated with material by Robert Moore, Martin Shough, Chris Williams and Peter Dunn.  We also have all the copies of Phenomena magazine for 2010 as well as reports on our paranormal investigations at Littlecote Manor and our secret location in Warminster.

Last Speaker Announced and Special Guest

We are pleased to announce that Ross Hemsworth will be our final speaker for Weird 10.  Ross was the host of our 2009 conference and this time he returns in his own right as a speaker for the event.  His lecture at the International UFO Congress earlier this year was well received and we can now see this lecture in the UK!

We also welcome Philip Mantle to Weird 10 who will be appearing on stage during the weekend.
